PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sol Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldstein comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nothing to Prove by H2O kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Goldstein!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Goldstein misses its intended target.
Goldstein throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.
Goldstein misses with a double jab.

Goldstein clinches up against the cage.
Brown misses with a punch on the inside.
Brown misses with a hook from the clinch.

Goldstein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Goldstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Brown is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goldstein fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Brown keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brown moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goldstein wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.

Brown is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Goldstein postures up in Brown's guard and throws a big left but Brown blocks it.

Goldstein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goldstein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brown has his foot on Goldstein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goldstein works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Goldstein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Goldstein is posturing up here but Brown has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Goldstein tries to roll out but it's too tight and Goldstein has to tap! Slick submission there by Brown!
