PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boomer Sooner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sooner fails to land with a series of punches.
Boomer Sooner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wiggins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wiggins is standing up over Sooner. Sooner looks to escape but Wiggins dives into side control.

Wiggins postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Wiggins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wiggins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sooner definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wiggins tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wiggins working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Sooner is trying to escape the position but Wiggins is controlling the position.

Wiggins throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
