Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alberto Duran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lev Rozenbaum!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran swings widly with a right hand
and Rozenbaum counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oooooh!!! Duran has knocked Rozenbaum down with a huge combo! Duran steps away and waves a wobbly Rozenbaum back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Lev Rozenbaum has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Duran.
No joy there for Duran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rozenbaum looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duran misses with a series of wild punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rozenbaum! But no joy.
Duran throws a lazy uppercut
and Rozenbaum counters with a leg kick.
Duran throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Duran moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromRozenbaum.
Duran cracks Rozenbaum with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rozenbaum slips a jab and a cross from Duran.
Rozenbaum is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Duran with a body shot.
Some wild striking there from Duran.
A countering left hand to the body from Rozenbaum misses.
Duran swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Duran takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rozenbaum ducks under a wild hook from Duran.
Duran has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Double XX in the buildup to the fight.
Duran misses with a hook to the body
and Rozenbaum counters with a nice body kick.
Lev Rozenbaum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Duran misses with a body shot
and Rozenbaum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Duran drops Rozenbaum with a beautiful combination! Rozenbaum stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Duran is looking for the KO!
Rozenbaum is rocked!
Duran fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rozenbaum is still on wobbly legs! Can Duran finish him?
Duran misses with a double jab
and Rozenbaum makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Duran really felt that one!
Duran is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Duran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rozenbaum circles away quickly and effectively.
Duran lands with a big right hook that stumbles Rozenbaum - he's out on his feet here! Duran follows up with another monster hook that separates Rozenbaum from consciousness! Rozenbaum falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Duran stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alberto Duran!
