Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Yared (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavares has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Renato Yared will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yared doesn't manage to clinch there - Tavares circles away.
Yared tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tavares.
Yared is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tavares off and has taken his back!
Yared just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Yared not allowing Tavares to control his hands.
Yared has good solid back control here.
Tavares is breathing heavily.

I looks like Yared might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yared's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Renato Yared just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Yared throws a right and a left that both miss.

A head kick misses from Yared.
Yared fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yared.
Tavares shoots and misses

and Yared counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tavares won't be happy with that.
Tavares tries to bench press Yared off him but Yared keeps the position.
Tavares tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Yared easily slips into full mount!
Tavares wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Yared controlling well, preventing Tavares from escaping the position.

I would not like to be Tavares right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tavares is trying to break free.
Yared gets his hands free as Tavares looks to control.
Yared is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Tavares trying to control the position but Yared manages to sink in the hooks.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Yared is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yared tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tavares swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters circle, before Yared throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Tavares's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Yared lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
