The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blanchard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Choi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Blanchard has passed into side control.
Choi looking for a sweep but Blanchard has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blanchard has hold of Choi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Choi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Choi tries to improve his position but instead Blanchard has taken his back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blanchard looking to break Choi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Choi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Blanchard will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
