Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Longson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Longson comes to the cage accompanied by Oopsy daisy chipmunk. Chapman has chosen Mc rennie as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Brandon Longson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Tyler Chapman!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chapman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chapman throws a head kick but Longson moves out of range.
Longson looks to land a combination but Chapman avoids it well.

Longson rushes Chapman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Longson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chapman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Chapman misses with a double jab
and Longson counters with a thumping low kick.
Chapman misses with an uppercut. Longson saw that one coming.
Chapman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Longson counters with a good low kick that Chapman was not able to check.
Chapman looks gassed!
Chapman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Good leg kick by Longson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Longson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Brandon Longson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Chapman.

Longson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Longson clobbers Chapman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Chapman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chapman cracks Longson with a big right hand but Longson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Chapman wants to free his trapped foot but Longson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chapman connects with a nice short shot to Longson's temple.

Longson looks to land a combination but Chapman avoids it well.

Chapman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Longson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Longson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Longson.
Longson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chapman misses with an uppercut. Longson saw that one coming.
Chapman darts in trying to clinch
and Longson counters with a one-two to the body.

Chapman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Longson swivels and escapes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Longson counters with a good low kick that Chapman was not able to check.
No joy there for Chapman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
