The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partridge scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Small defending against the ground and pound.
Partridge trying to control the position but Small is working away.
Partridge lands a nice forearm strike.
Partridge looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Partridge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Small keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Small's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Small sneaks out the side door and pushes Partridge away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Partridge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Small quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Partridge lands a nice short elbow.

Small makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Small.
Partridge tries to free his leg and advance position but Small is retaining full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Partridge's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Small tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Small controlling the position.
Partridge missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Partridge with a nice head shot there.
Small might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Oh Small is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Partridge loads up on a big left hand. Small felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Partridge looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Small can't hide his disappointment, as Partridge celebrates the victory.
