Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Pappalardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lesnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pappalardo's guard.
Lesnar postures up.
Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Pappalardo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pappalardo being controlled here, momentarily.
Pappalardo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pappalardo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lesnar is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Pappalardo is keeping the position.

Lesnar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lesnar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lesnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Pappalardo is retaining full guard.
Pappalardo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pappalardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lesnar controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pappalardo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Pappalardo has closed the distance and engaged Lesnar in a clinch.
Lesnar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Derek Pappalardo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pappalardo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lesnar backwards.

Pappalardo lands with a light punch inside.
Pappalardo lands a right hand.

Lesnar is rocked!
Lesnar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lesnar is still on wobbly legs! Can Pappalardo finish him?
Pappalardo scores with a shot to the side of Lesnar's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pappalardo creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Lesnar with a big uppercut! Lesnar tries to clinch up but Pappalardo pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Lesnar to the mat! Lesnar covers up and Pappalardo unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Derek Pappalardo!
Derek Pappalardo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
