Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between American Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedor misses with a double jab.

Young closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Young prevents a takedown attempt there.
Fedor is looking to break free of the clinch but Young has double underhooks.
Young fails to pull the fight into his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fedor is on top in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Young has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Young has his foot on Fedor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fedor works his way back into a safe position though.

Fedor stands and steps away. Young gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Young is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Fedor tries to lock up and control but Young gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fedor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fedor tries to get out of the position.
Fedor is trying desperately to improve position.

Young is going olschool here, as he tries to force Fedor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fedor shrugs it off.
