The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Carico trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Lopez manages to pass to mount!
Lopez controlling from the full mount.
Lopez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Carico tries to lock up and control but Lopez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Carico is trying to reverse the position but instead Lopez has taken his back - oops!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez has the hooks in. Carico is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Lopez is working for a rear naked choke. Carico is not defending it well and Lopez has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Carico refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Carico's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
