Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 14 - 2, fighting out of New York, Lance Templeton!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Brown!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Templeton is just out of range.
Templeton thinks about countering with a body kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Brown.
Templeton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brown connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Templeton scrambles back to his feet.
Brown misses with a right hand
letting Templeton counter with a right hand.
Templeton blocks a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Templeton on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Brown lands with a thumping leg kick.

A looping hook to the body misses from Brown. Templeton does a little dance to reset his feet.
It looked like Templeton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Templeton misses with a wild combination.
Brown throws out a counter right but Templeton avoids it with no problem.
Brown motions for Templeton to come forward. Brown throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A quick step to the side and Templeton tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Templeton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brown pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Templeton swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Templeton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Templeton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown throws a looping overhand right but Templeton ducks down to avoid it.
Brown thows a left - swing and a miss!
Templeton moves out of range of the strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Templeton slips under a jab from Brown.
Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Templeton.
Brown throws a sloppy body shot
and Templeton counters with a nice body kick.
Templeton blocks a head kick by Brown.

Brown lands with a straight right. Templeton didn't see that one coming.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Templeton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Brown throws a leg kick but Templeton moved away.
Templeton is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Templeton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brown.
Templeton is looking to counter with head kicks.
Brown misses the shot to the body.
Templeton throwing a counter right hand but Brown manages to avoid it.

Brown connects with a leg kick. Templeton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Templeton lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Templeton.
Brown punishes Templeton's body with a nice straight punch.
Brown jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brown goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Templeton moves out of range of the leg kick from Brown.
Good leg kick by Brown there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trey Brown dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Brown fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Templeton checks it well.
It looked like Templeton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brown pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Templeton blocks a head kick by Brown.
It looked like Templeton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Brown throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Templeton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brown throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Brown is looking to chop away at Templeton's legs.
It looked like Templeton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brown tests Templeton's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Brown throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Both fighters circling a little - Brown finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Templeton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.
It looked like Templeton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brown fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Templeton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Trey Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown throws a right and a left that both miss.
Templeton was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brown bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Templeton's head backwards.

Brown lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Templeton at a distance.
Brown pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Templeton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Templeton might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Templeton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brown. Brown circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Trey Brown seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Brown tries to land a front kick but Templeton steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Templeton is looking to counter with a body kick.
Brown misses with a looping left.
A quick step to the side and Templeton tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brown darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown throws a push kick but Templeton slaps the foot to one side.
Brown lands with a cross.
Brown looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Brown jabs Templeton right on the nose. Templeton blinks but takes it well.
Brown looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Brown backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Templeton's temple! It sends Templeton violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Brown celebrates and the doctors try to help Templeton!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Trey Brown!
