The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcgregor circles away quickly and effectively.
Mcgregor misses with an attempted mid kick.
That kick from Aldo tenderised Mcgregor's leg. Mcgregor is trying to keep his angry face on.
Aldo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcgregor to the mat! Mcgregor manages to get full guard.
Mcgregor is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Aldo will probably get the nod.

Mcgregor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Aldo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mcgregor - the referee stops the clock and Aldo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mcgregor. Aldo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Connor Mcgregor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Aldo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcgregor.
It looked like Aldo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mcgregor.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mcgregor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcgregor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mcgregor works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Aldo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcgregor is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Well, if Mcgregor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
