Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Herring looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fallu feints the counter takedown.
Herring looks for a takedown but Fallu sprawls well.
Fallu throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Herring tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fallu is in Herring's guard.
Fallu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fallu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Herring can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fallu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Herring is on top in guard.
Herring wants to stand but Fallu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Herring shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fallu pinned against the cage. Fallu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fallu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Herring sprawls well initially but Fallu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fallu has control of Herring's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Herring regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fallu moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Herring has worked his arm free - good work by Herring!
Fallu decides to stand back up.
Herring shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Herring showed some decent athleticism there.
Fallu has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Herring is on him like a limpet, forcing Fallu back against the cage.
Herring tries to pull guard but Fallu holds him up against the cage and eventually Herring drops back down to his feet.

Fallu wants the takedown. Herring is fighting it off but Fallu persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Herring's guard against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fallu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Herring drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fallu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fallu stands up from Herring's guard - Fallu perhaps looking for a knockout.

Herring pushes Fallu off and gets back to his feet.

Jode Fallu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Fallu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
