Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent jabs Hooper to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kent uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hooper.
A big left from Kent misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Hooper misses the target.
Hooper closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hooper cracks Kent with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hooper has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kent to stand back up!

It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hooper. Kent does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kent has closed the distance and engaged Hooper in a clinch.
Hooper will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kent up against the cage.

Kent misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hooper.

and Kent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hooper paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hooper lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A punch combination from Hooper misses.
Kent slips a straight right by Hooper.

Kent scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kent throws a body shot but no joy.
Kent with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hooper to score with a decent uppercut.
Hooper throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kent throws a body punch but Hooper moves out of range.
Hooper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kent uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hooper.
Hooper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kent throws out the jab.
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hooper moves away.
Hooper scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kent swings for the body but Hooper moves out of range.
Hooper tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kent manages to circle out of the way.

Hooper misses the shot to the body.
Kent is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kent has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hooper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hooper misses with a straight left.
Kent is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hooper rather than just go for the knockout.
Kent scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hooper doesn't seem bothered though.

Kent doesn't manage to clinch there - Hooper circles away.

A lazy left from Hooper finds it's target.
Hooper lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kent up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Hooper from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kent's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
