The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thomson can pounce on him.
Thomson tests Carter's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nice cross by Thomson.
Carter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thomson on the side of the head.
BOOM! Carter lands a beautiful left hook that drops Thomson. Thomson tries to recover but Carter is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Thomson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Calvin Carter!
