The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voodoo Daddy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hardman sprawls well. Hardman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Voodoo Daddy gets slowly back to his feet.

and Hardman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hardman closes the distance and pushes Voodoo Daddy back into the cage.

Voodoo Daddy feints and as Hardman raises his hands in defense, Voodoo Daddy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hardman controls Voodoo Daddy momentarily but Voodoo Daddy frees himself.
Voodoo Daddy tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardman is retaining full guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hardman holds on and takes a little breather.
