Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Black Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Ames (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Black Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ed Ames!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk avoids the body shot from Ames.
Hawk is looking to counter with head kicks.
Ames misses with a body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ames. Hawk does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hawk drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ames sprawls and moves away.

Ames moves into range and clinches up with Hawk.

Ames escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ames throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hawk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ames is in Hawk's guard.
Ames must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hawk looking for a sweep. Not yet Hawk, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ames got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ames has managed to get both his arms back between Hawk's legs - danger averted.

Hawk has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ames is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hawk.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hawk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ames lands a couple of digs.
Ames's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawk trying to keep a closed guard but Ames is proving a slippery customer.
Hawk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ames is positioning himself well to prevent Hawk advancing to mount.
Hawk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hawk trying to mount his opponent but Ames defends it.
Hawk wants to control but Ames is keeping him busy.
Ames is doing well to control the position and prevent Hawk from advancing to side control.
Ames is refusing to be controlled, as Hawk sits in half guard.
Ames moves into full guard.
Hawk looking to sit in guard and control but Ames gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ames throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hawk was covering up waiting for the punch and Ames finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hawk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ames's guard.

Hawk goes for an armbar but Ames turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ames.

Hawk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hawk is on top in guard.


Hawk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hawk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ames not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hawk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hawk drops back looking for a leg! Ames is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ames manages to kick Hawk off! Hawk jumps back into Ames's guard.

Hawk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ames swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ames instigates a clinch.

Hawk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ames regains guard immediately.

Hawk drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ames manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hawk has Ames in his guard.

Black Hawk dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Ames throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hawk half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ames avoids the head kick by Hawk.

Hawk takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hawk avoids the body shot from Ames.
Hawk appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ames looks to score with a jab to the body but Hawk is just out of range.

Ames decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hawk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ames pulls his head out easily.

Ames moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Hawk.
Hawk is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hawk tries to get to full guard but Ames has control of the leg.
Ed Ames is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Still in half guard, Ames seems content to control.
Hawk is looking to improve his position.

Hawk slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ames seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ames has taken the fight to the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hawk slows down the pace here.

Black Hawk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ed Ames comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ames has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
