Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hennie venter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into the arena with Given Up blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, hennie venter!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
venter misses with a head kick.
venter misses with a looping right.
venter works over White's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Paul White has been cut.

venter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
White wants to improve his position but venter is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
venter is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
White is looking for a sweep. venter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
venter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. White defending well though.
venter tries to pass to full mount but White defends it.
venter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
venter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
White gets full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
venter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
venter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
venter postures up.
White lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for venter!
venter is looking to improve his position but White isn't that keen on the idea.

venter tries to hold on but White pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by White there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
White avoids the attempt from venter to control.
venter can't escape the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A nice elbow there by White.
venter looks gassed!
venter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


venter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
venter tries to clinch but White moves out of range.
A head kick from venter lands but White takes it in his stride.
venter misses with the combination.
venter shoots in and drives through. White sprawls well.
venter is breathing heavily.

White drives through with a takedown into guard.

venter working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because White has passed into half guard!

White slows the pace down in half guard.
venter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. White is working away from the top position though.
White moves into full mount! venter won't be happy about that!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
venter wants to hold on but White pushes him away.
White controlling his opponent.
venter is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
venter in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
venter tries to reverse the position but White maintains control.
White controlling from the full mount.
venter working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
venter bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
venter is fighting to break White's control of his arms but White is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and White counters with a nice double leg into guard.
White tries to free his leg and advance position but venter is retaining full guard.
venter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
venter wants to improve his position but instead White has moved into half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

venter looking for a kimura from the bottom but White passes into side control!
White is looking to take a break and control but venter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
venter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
venter is trying to control the action in half guard but White is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

White is staying active underneath venter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
White trying to hold on to venter's head to control him but venter postures up.
venter wants to stand up but White has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and White decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in venter's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul White showed his dominance in that final round.
I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
