The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buffer.

Buffer closes the distance and clinches.
Buffer gets underhooks to prevent Conor's takedown attempt.
Conor tries for a takedown but Buffer manages to get underhooks.
Conor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Buffer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mcgregor Conor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Conor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Buffer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Conor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buffer fights it off and pushes away nicely.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Buffer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Buffer lands a right hand that snaps the head of Conor backwards.

Buffer lands a big right hand that drops Conor! The killer instinct kicks in and Buffer finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Buffer!
