Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thunder Lightning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Daddy L (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lightning comes into the arena with White Lightning blaring out of the sound system. L is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by destroyer-Static X. Big Daddy L looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightning throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around L's waist but L gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lightning off to one side.
L looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
L shoots in for a double leg but Lightning sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
L steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lightning.
L slips a jab from Lightning.
L ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lightning gets a takedown into half guard.
Lightning works his way into full mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lightning has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Thunder Lightning just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
L uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lightning.
Lightning throws a jab when L was well out of range.

Lightning swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lightning throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nice defenses there by L.

Lightning looks to land a left hand but L moved out of range nicely.
Lightning throws a jab but it's blocked by L.

Thunder Lightning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lightning really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lightning throws a hook to the side of L's head but L sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

L clinches.

L pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lightning closes the distance and clinches up with L, looking for a takedown. Lightning pushes L against the cage but L circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lightning gets caught flat footed, as L shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

L decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from L.
L fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lightning shoots in looking for a takedown. L tries to sprawl out of it but Lightning keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. L manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lightning keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

L moves away from the strike by Lightning.
Lightning tries for a takedown but L sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lightning darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lightning will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
L tries to kick Lightning off but Lightning keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

L working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lightning doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lightning manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Thunder Lightning will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lightning's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

L fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
L uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lightning.

L tries to clinch but Lightning moves out of range.
Lightning shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts L as he jumps to the side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thunder Lightning is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

L unloads with some shots from mount but Lightning bucks and avoids them well.
Lightning bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
L controls Lightning momentarily but Lightning frees himself.

Lightning stands and throws L's legs to the side, diving into side control.
L is trying to get back to half guard.
L wants to get back to his feet but Lightning drags him back down.

L might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lightning kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
L regains half guard.
Lightning with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
L is looking to control Lightning's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can L avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
L is holding on to half guard well.

Lightning keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Lightning wants to pass the guard but L is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
L pushes Lightning off looking to stand but Lightning dives back in and keeps control.

I would just about give that final round to Big Daddy L.
