The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.
Schultz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Schultz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schultz manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Schultz's guard.

Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jackson stands and steps away. Schultz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schultz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schultz, who protects the arm well.
Schultz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Schultz get back to his feet.

Jackson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jackson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Schultz. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dave Schultz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
