Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Filiberto Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pau has chosen Wai Khru Ram Muay as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pau misses with a two punch combination.
Pau looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Pau throws a nice looking combination but Duke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Duke went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Duke pushes Pau up against the cage in a clinch.
Pau's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Duke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pau falls off balance throwing a combination
and Duke counters with a series of strikes. Pau will be more careful next time no doubt.

Duke tries to clinch but Pau moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pau throws out a loose jab but Duke uses good head movement to avoid it.
Duke seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ping Pau is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Duke counters by moving into the clinch.
Pau is trying to break the clinch but Duke is controlling him.
Pau lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Pau throws a big elbow that misses.
Duke is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like Duke is going to stand back up.

Pau throws a sloppy head kick and Duke moves out of range easily.

Pau throws a right hand that Duke ducks under and follows up with a left that Duke also avoids with ease.
Duke darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Duke is controlling the pace.
Duke escapes and gets back to his feet.

Duke moves in looking to clinch but Pau pushes him off.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pau! But no joy.
Duke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pau was covering up waiting for the punch and Duke finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Duke's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pau is working an open guard so Duke takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Pau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duke manages to avoid it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duke takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Filiberto Duke has been cut.
Pau throws a leg kick but Duke sees it coming and moves out of range.
Duke blocks a head kick by Pau.
Pau pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As Pau tries to get set, Duke tries to push him back and clinch up but Pau manages to avoid the attempt.
Duke shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pau is trying to defend but Duke finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That was a close round but I would say that Filiberto Duke will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Duke darts in and clinches Pau up against the cage.
Pau breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Duke wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pau, who protects the arm well.

Duke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pau sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duke somewhat.
Duke manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pau on his heels. He'll look to pass Pau's guard now, I'm sure.
Duke would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pau pulls Duke in close to prevent any damage.

Filiberto Duke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Duke has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Duke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
