Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and normal guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, normal guy!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around guy's waist but guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing White off to one side.
guy looks to land a combination. White sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
guy misses with a few strikes there.
guy circles away from the clinch attempt.
normal guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White looks to land a right hand but guy moved out of range.
guy lands a two punch combo.
White slips under a jab from guy.
White doesn't manage to clinch there - guy circles away.
guy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

White is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
guy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Oh White is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
guy throws a right and a left that White avoids nicely.
White seems to have got his legs back now.
An inside leg kick from guy misses.
guy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

guy scores with a jab. White acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

White rushes guy and presses him up against the cage.

guy keeps control of White as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

White breaks from the clinch.
guy throws a series of punches but White moves out of range.
guy closes the distance looking to clinch
and White counters with a straight right hand.
White avoids a punch combination nicely.
guy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
guy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
guy tries a head kick but it misses.
White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says guy as he avoids it easily.
A nice combination there by White.

It looks like normal guy has been cut.
White lands a nice shot that snaps guy's head back.
White misses with a takedown attempt - guy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay White. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and guy counters with a three punch combo that has White backing up. White nods at guy to acknowledge the strikes.

White closes the distance and clinches.

White drags the fight down to the ground.
White has a closed guard, preventing guy from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White lands with a heel strike from the guard.
White throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

White tries to close the distance and clinch up but guy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
White is looking to clinch but guy is avoiding it.
White rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but guy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
White pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
White slips a jab and a cross from guy.
White takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
guy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
White throws a combination. guy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
guy tries to close the distance and clinch up but White swats him away and circles back towards the center.
guy misses with a few strikes there.
White shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with guy but guy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for guy with that takedown attempt.
guy misses with a series of wild punches.
A cross from White lands.
White wants to clinch but guy slips to the side
and guy counters with a one-two to the body.
White scores with a hook to the body. guy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
guy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and White counters with a right hand to the body.
guy keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay White will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on normal guy's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

White has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

White is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
White thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing guy to regain full guard.
guy is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
White thows a huge punch but guy dodges it nicely.

White is looking for a kimura but guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for White to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

White seems to be working for a kimura but guy defends the submission attempt.
White is tying to control. guy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
guy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards guy.
White wants to control his opponent's hands but guy gets his hands free.
White tries to escape but guy has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
White is working hard here to advance position.

guy is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. guy gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. guy gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. guy apologises and we restart here on the feet.

White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Horrible takedown by guy or perhaps it was just good defense by White which made him look bad.
No joy there for guy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

White forces guy back against the cage and clinches.

guy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but White has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

White takes the fight into the clinch.

White lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of guy backwards.
White lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. guy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but guy persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing.
White is looking to clinch.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

White wants to improve his position but guy is controlling well.
White is staying active underneath guy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
guy wants to stand up but White has a hold of him and won't allow it.

White is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but guy pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
White swings away with a body shot that misses
and guy counters with an inside leg kick.
White closes the distance looking to clinch

and guy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
White manages to get to full guard.

White escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. guy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
White is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

White is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

guy wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
normal guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jay White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
White is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now White is on top in guard.
White is stalling in the full guard.
White stopping the sweep attempt from guy.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to normal guy.
