Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyoji Asahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Chat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asahara's entrance music is Skrillex & Rick Ross - Purple Lamborghini. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asahara drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Asahara controls from within his opponent's guard.
Asahara works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Asahara lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Asahara manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chat on his heels. He'll look to pass Chat's guard now, I'm sure.

Chat is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Asahara asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Asahara remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
