Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saif Swaleh!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Swaleh. No joy for Brown on that attempt.
Brown looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Swaleh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Swaleh fails with an attempt to clinch.

Swaleh takes the fight into the clinch.
Swaleh lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Swaleh gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swaleh lands a hook to the side of the head.

Swaleh trying to control the position but instead, Brown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Swaleh into the cage.
Brown is trying to drag Swaleh to the mat but Swaleh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown dodges an elbow strike from Swaleh.
Swaleh using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brown has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Brown is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Swaleh lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice left hand lands by Swaleh.

Swaleh lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Swaleh is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Swaleh pressing his opponent against the cage.
Swaleh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Browns head.

Brown decides to pull guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Swaleh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swaleh is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Brown has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Swaleh is looking to defend but Brown has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Swaleh! Brown pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Swaleh taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bill Brown!
A relieved looking Bill Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Saif Swaleh had this to say: 'This guy is crazy, he fights like a champ. I tried to knock him down but he wasn't going down, and his face was licking blood but he was still infront of my face. This guy is a champ and he needs a tittle shot!!!! Sorry to all my fans!!!!'.
