Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Menezes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Menezes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaka Khan!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Menezes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Khan shoots and misses
and Menezes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Khan fails with the takedown
and Menezes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gabriel Menezes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaka Khan.

Menezes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Khan, pushing him back against the cage.
Khan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Menezes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Khan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Menezes is pressed up against the cage. Khan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Menezes down to the mat. Menezes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Menezes counters with a nice uppercut.
Khan moves out of range as Menezes strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Menezes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Khan looks winded!

letting Menezes counter with a right hand.
Menezes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Menezes circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Khan to the canvas! Khan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Menezes keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
