The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ramierez.

Battle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Battle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Battle is trying to break the clinch but Ramierez has him pressed against the cage.

Battle pushes off an throws an elbow but Ramierez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Battle - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ramierez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Battle has left one of his arms exposed and Ramierez doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Battle screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
