Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Potapenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Stanislav!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanislav throws a shot from downtown. Potapenko moves away and avoids it.
Stanislav misses with a combination
and Potapenko counters with a straight right hand.
Potapenko swats away the attempt to clinch by Stanislav.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potapenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stanislav is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Stanislav is looking to stand up but Potapenko isn't so interested in that idea.

Stanislav controls Potapenko momentarily but Potapenko frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stanislav wants to get back to his feet but Potapenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Stanislav wants to control but Potapenko is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Stanislav is looking to escape.
Potapenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Potapenko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Stanislav has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Potapenko is working away from the top position though.

Stanislav is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Potapenko is staying active.

Stanislav looks like he's trying to stand up.
Potapenko drops an elbow to the side of Stanislav's head.
Potapenko is looking to take a break and control but Stanislav is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stanislav is looking for a sweep. Potapenko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Stanislav rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Potapenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Potapenko dodges the punch combination from Stanislav.
Stanislav misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potapenko shoots in but Stanislav avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Potapenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanislav pinned against the cage. Stanislav gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stanislav scores with a one two! Potapenko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stanislav tries to clinch but Potapenko moves out of range.
Potapenko is looking for a counter combo.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Potapenko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stanislav is trying to defend but Potapenko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like Adam Stanislav has been cut.
Stanislav is trying to control but can't.
Stanislav has hold of Potapenko's hands but Potapenko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Stanislav is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stanislav wants to control but Potapenko is keeping busy.
Potapenko winds up and cracks Stanislav with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Alexey Potapenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Potapenko is nestled in close to Stanislav, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.


Stanislav is rocked!


The cut above Adam Stanislav's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Potapenko content to control rather than advance.
Potapenko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Adam Stanislav's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
