Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knuckles feints and as Sampson raises his hands in defense, Knuckles changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sampson wants to stand but Knuckles is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sampson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sampson drops Knuckles with a big left hand and mounts him. Knuckles is in big trouble!

Knuckles is rocked!

It looks like Johnny Knuckles has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knuckles is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Knuckles is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sampson looking to finish with strikes here!
Sampson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sampson avoids the attempt from Knuckles to control.
Knuckles sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Knuckles looks gassed!
Sampson wants to pass the guard but Knuckles is defending well.

Sampson is stalling here. Knuckles is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sampson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Knuckles has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sampson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sampson drops Knuckles with a right and a left! Sampson comes rushing in but Knuckles regains his composure and manages to keep Sampson in guard.
Knuckles is still in real trouble! Can Sampson finish him?

Sampson stands up and waves to Knuckles to follow him.
Knuckles seems to have recovered his senses.
Sonny Sampson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Knuckles takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Knuckles takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sampson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That has opened up Johnny Knuckles's cut even more.
Knuckles takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sampson closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Knuckles out cold! Knuckles corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
