Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teiden Ritari!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke McStoner!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStoner misses with a lunging right hand
and Ritari makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. McStoner really felt that one!
McStoner avoids the head kick by Ritari.
McStoner looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
McStoner throws out a powerful jab.


It looks like Teiden Ritari has been cut.
McStoner throws a body shot but no joy.
McStoner takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
McStoner rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Ritari counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

McStoner breaks the clinch.
Ritari paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ritari has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ritari takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A decent looking cross lands there for McStoner.
McStoner swats away the attempt to clinch by Ritari.
McStoner walks into a straight right hand from Ritari.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McStoner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ritari tries to close the distance and clinch but McStoner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It seemed like McStoner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McStoner moves away from the strike by Ritari.
McStoner keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Ritari is rocked!
Duke McStoner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ritari gets a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Ritari fails to land.
Ritari prevents McStoner from breaking the clinch.
McStoner is trying to break the clinch but Ritari has him pressed against the ropes.
McStoner can't break the clinch.
Ritari connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Duke McStoner has been cut.
Ritari keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McStoner's efforts to push away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McStoner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

McStoner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

McStoner looks to land a left hand but Ritari moved out of range nicely.
Ritari tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McStoner manages to circle out of the way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teiden Ritari dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Ritari closes the distance and clinches.
McStoner looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
McStoner wants to get back to striking at distance but Ritari won't allow it.
Ritari lands a damaging elbow.
A right handed body shot lands from Ritari.
A short uppercut from McStoner.
McStoner blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ritari prevents McStoner from breaking the clinch.
Ritari lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McStoner backwards.
Ritari lands a shot to the body.
McStoner lands a left hand.
Ritari is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McStoner is defending well for now.

McStoner has thrown a lot of knees so far in this fight and we're lead to believe that's something he's been working on the gym prior to this fight.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Ritari throws an elbow but misses.

Ritari lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ritari lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Ritari using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McStoner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McStoner is trying to break the clinch but Ritari has him pressed against the ropes.
McStoner wants to break free but Ritari has control.

McStoner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McStoner lands with a right hand.
McStoner getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
McStoner lands with a good body shot.
Ritari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McStoner moves away.
McStoner throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ritari walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Ritari is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Duke McStoner! Duke McStoner retains his middleweight title!
A less than humble Duke McStoner misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
