And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix scores with a head kick. Helly tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Hendrix misses with a head kick.
Helly throws a head kick but Hendrix moves out of range.
Hendrix throws the kick towards the body but Helly avoids it.
Hendrix lands an overhand right.
Helly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Helly throws a right and a left that both miss.
Helly lands a body shot.
Helly uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hendrix.
Despite the aggression on Helly's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Helly takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hendrix lands with a nice body punch.

Helly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hendrix on his heels. He'll look to pass Hendrix's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hendrix wriggles free and stands up.

Hendrix throws a head kick but Helly moves out of range.
Helly doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Helly lunges at Hendrix with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hendrix's hand.
Helly throws a right hand that Hendrix ducks under and follows up with a left that Hendrix also avoids with ease.
Hendrix misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A big right from Hendrix misses.
Hendrix tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice side step and Helly releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Hendrix misses with an uppercut
and Helly counters with a right hand to the body.
Hendrix fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Helly avoids it really well and circles away.
Helly tries a quick counter leg kick but Hendrix is wise to it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hendrix takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Ivan Hendrix has been cut.

Helly pushes Hendrix up against the cage in a clinch.

Helly breaks from the clinch.
Helly throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hendrix.

Hendrix is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hendrix thows a leg kick but Helly checks it
and Helly counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Helly is pawing at Hendrix, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hendrix's nose. Hendrix is badly hurt! Helly pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hendrix tries desperately to hold on but Helly is relentless in his assault! As Hendrix receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Helly away and this one is in the books!
