Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Mccall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker John will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

John decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mccall has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but John is on him like a limpet, forcing Mccall back against the cage.
John is trying to break free.

Mccall is fighting off a takedown attempt but John is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mccall to the mat. Mccall regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

John must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mccall is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

John is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mccall can't fight it off and eventually John manages to take the fight to the floor. Mccall looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A frustrated look appears on John's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mccall has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

John really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mccall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mccall is nestled in close to John, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
