Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
35 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles LaFontier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don T. Bill!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFontier misses the shot to the body.
LaFontier scoring well with a low kick there.
Bill takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
LaFontier moves out of range of the strikes.
A combination from LaFontier does no damage.
Bill throws a head kick that misses
and LaFontier counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bill looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for LaFontier!
LaFontier tries to bench press Bill off him but Bill keeps the position.
Bill working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bill is working LaFontier over with some ground and pound from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
LaFontier is trying to control Bill's posture but Bill avoids it.
LaFontier is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bill is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
LaFontier avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bill.
Bill looks up at the clock and then as LaFontier takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round.
LaFontier managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bill.
Bill in side control lands a decent elbow.
Bill advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bill throws some wild stikes that LaFontier manages to avoid easily.
LaFontier tries to hold on but Bill pushes him away.
LaFontier is squirming around, avoiding Bill's attempts to control the action.
Bill postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have LaFontier in real trouble here! The ref calls for LaFontier to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don T. Bill!
Don T. Bill decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
