The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joney throws a leg kick but Machida sees it coming and moves out of range.
As Joney looks to move away, Machida throws a big counter combo but Joney just gets out of the way.
Joney misses with a low kick.
Joney keeps Machida at a distance using the push kick.
Machida swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Joney moves into range and connects with a jab.
Machida misses with a double jab.
Joney lands a nice looking kick to the body. Machida takes a step back to recover.

Joney has taken the fight to the clinch.
Joney lands a hook that snaps the head of Machida backwards.

Still in the clinch, Joney scores with a nice short uppercut.
Joney creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Machida with a big uppercut! Machida tries to clinch up but Joney pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Machida to the mat! Machida covers up and Joney unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
