Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Lacroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrik Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down has chosen Let's Go as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kendrik Down!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Down throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lacroix counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Kendrik Down has been cut.
Lacroix avoids the body shot from Down.
Down throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lacroix with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Down tries to clinch but Lacroix moves out of range.
Lacroix slips under a jab.
Lacroix circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lacroix was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lacroix shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Down uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Down fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lacroix sprawls well initially but Down persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Down perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Down seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lacroix does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Down looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Down shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lacroix eats them both and turns towards Down to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Lacroix looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lacroix comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Down throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lacroix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Lacroix counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Down thinking.
Down tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lacroix was well out of range. Poor timing from Down.
Lacroix throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Down stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Down bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lacroix is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Down takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Down throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lacroix was covering up waiting for the punch and Down finishes the takedown easily into guard.

I would just about give that final round to Kendrik Down.

A very excited looking Kendrik Down made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
