Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royal Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Royal Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicolas Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Escobar gets the takedown into side control.
Walsh is trying to buck Escobar off.
Escobar scores with punches from side control.
Walsh gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Escobar trying to control the action but Walsh is working from the bottom.
Walsh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Walsh tries to get to full guard but Escobar has control of the leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Escobar wants to get back to his feet.
Escobar content to control rather than advance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Escobar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Walsh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Walsh has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Escobar is on him like a limpet, forcing Walsh back against the cage.

Escobar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Walsh is defending well for now.

Escobar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Walsh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Escobar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walsh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's time! Walsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Escobar moves into range and clinches up with Walsh.
Walsh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Escobar walks away with a smile on his face. Walsh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Escobar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walsh, pushing him back against the cage.

Walsh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Escobar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Escobar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Escobar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
