Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dog Wild Heaven. David Luiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Simmons!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Luiz forces Simmons back against the cage and clinches.

Luiz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Simmons gets the takedown into side control.
Luiz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Simmons asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Luiz tries to bench press Simmons off him but Simmons keeps the position.

Luiz bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
A decent looking cross lands there for Luiz.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simmons bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Simmons with the counter takedown but Luiz avoids it easily.
Simmons tries to clinch up but Luiz circles away and keeps his distance.

Luiz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We've been told by Luiz's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Luiz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Luiz is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Simmons can't fight it off and eventually Luiz manages to take the fight to the floor. Simmons looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Simmons is looking for a triangle but Luiz pushes his legs off easily.

Simmons doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Luiz is in close to Simmons's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Luiz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Simmons is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Simmons looking for a triangle here. Luiz is fighting it but it looks tight! Simmons pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Luiz is tapping out - this one is all over!
