Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nigel Williams has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nigel Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively.
Williams tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Williams to the mat! Williams manages to get full guard.
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Williams wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Williams is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment.

Williams manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jackson has picked Williams up - he's going for a ride! Jackson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Williams wants to stand back up but Jackson manages to pass into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jackson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Williams throws a leg kick but Jackson sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jackson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Williams with a body shot.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Shawn Jackson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jackson stands up from mount. Strange move.
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jackson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Williams stuffs it but Jackson still has hold of him. Jackson picks Williams up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Jackson slams Williams to the floor and that's really hurt Williams - he doesn't know where he is! Jackson throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Jackson!
