Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yogi Dutt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brandin King!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Yogi Dutt has been cut.

Dutt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. King sprawls well initially but Dutt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dutt is thwarting King's attempts to control the position.
Dutt with the ground and pound but King uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Dutt drops back, looking for a kneebar! King looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. King looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from King!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dutt is working hard here to advance position.
Dutt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dutt tries to get out of the position.
Dutt is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

A momentary lapse in concentration from King enables Dutt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. King manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dutt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dutt postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dutt slows the pace down in half guard.
Dutt throwing shots but King is blocking nicely.

A close round but Brandin King will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dutt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Dutt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dutt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dutt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dutt is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
