Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Earl Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winnie Pooh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Earl Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Winnie Pooh!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pooh gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Allen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pooh pulls his leg out and moves away.

Allen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Allen is trying to drag Pooh to the mat but Pooh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Allen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pooh avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Allen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pooh pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pooh has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Allen is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Pooh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Allen is working an open guard so Pooh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pooh rushes Allen and presses him up against the cage.

Allen has hold of one of Pooh's legs. Pooh is fighting the takedown attempt but Allen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Pooh manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Pooh misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pooh lands a body shot.
Pooh lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Pooh presses Allen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Pooh lands a left hand.
Still in the clinch, Pooh scores with a nice short uppercut.
Pooh misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winnie Pooh dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pooh lunges at Allen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Allen's hand.

Allen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pooh to the mat! Pooh manages to get full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pooh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pooh controls Allen momentarily but Allen frees himself.
Pooh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pooh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Winnie Pooh has got the better of the ground game so far.
Allen controlling the position.
Pooh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Allen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Pooh has gone for a leg lock! Allen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pooh's guard.


Pooh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Allen defends well.
Allen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Pooh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Allen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pooh looking for a triangle here. Allen is fighting it but it looks tight! Pooh pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Allen is tapping out - this one is all over!
