Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esteban Barron told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Esteban Barron!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barron throws a sloppy head kick and Kent moves out of range easily.
Barron shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kent manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kent throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Kent looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Barron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kent works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Barron keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kent's head.
Barron has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barron is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kent keeping moving, preventing Barron from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kent wants to hit a switch here but Barron passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kent there!
Barron is in the full mount, landing strikes.
It looks like Lance Kent has been cut.
Barron fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent really wants to buck Barron off and get back to his feet.
Barron loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kent scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Barron land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Barron stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Esteban Barron!
