Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dem Nutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judas Holofernes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nutz moves in looking to clinch but Holofernes pushes him off.
Nutz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Holofernes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nutz misses with a takedown

and Holofernes counters with a single leg into guard. Nutz didn't expect that.
Holofernes stays in close to Nutz's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holofernes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nutz to his feet.
Holofernes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nutz is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Holofernes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nutz's guard.
Nutz wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Holofernes manages to pass to side control.

Holofernes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well Holofernes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
