The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Palhares.
Toquinho Palhares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palhares shoots for a double leg takedown but Seia sprawls well. He's pushed Palhares's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Seia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Palhares gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Seia keeping moving, preventing Palhares from controlling successfully.
Palhares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Palhares controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Palhares tries to score a power double leg takedown but Seia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Palhares somewhat.

Toquinho Palhares dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Palhares goes for a double leg but Seia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Seia continues to drive forward.
Seia attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Palhares darts in looking for a takedown but Seia gets double underhooks and turns Palhares into the cage.

Seia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palhares manages to avoid it.

Palhares shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Seia but Seia pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Seia closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Palhares! Seia dives in looking to finish! Palhares is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
