Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toby Powers!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers gets the takedown into side control.
Powers scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reid to see if he's OK.
Powers controls the position.
Powers wants to stand but Reid is controlling his arm.
Reid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.
Reid is looking to regain half guard here but Powers keeps moving and retains side control.
Reid throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Reid tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Powers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Powers tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
A lull in the action here as Powers stalls from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Powers advances nicely into full mount.

Powers has hold of Reid's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Reid manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Reid tries to lock up and control but Powers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Powers lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reid is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Powers working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Reid working to try and regain half guard.
Reid takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Reid is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Powers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Reid is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Reid is rocked!


It looks like Tim Reid has been cut.
Powers controlling the position easily from mount.
Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reid is just holding on here. Powers manages to take his back.

Reid is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Powers's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Reid is trying to get back to his feet but Powers has full control of the position and if anything, Reid has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Powers is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Powers gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Powers gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Powers apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Powers feints and as Reid raises his hands in defense, Powers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Powers with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Powers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Powers advances to half guard.

Powers not doing much here.
Powers is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Powers scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Powers is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Powers escapes and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Reid takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Reid is looking to regain half guard here but Powers keeps moving and retains side control.

Powers landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Reid trying his best to control but Powers has mounted him.
Reid wants to get back to his feet.

Reid is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Powers looking to control and managing it successfully.
Powers prevents Reid from getting the reversal.
Powers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Oh Reid is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Powers loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Reid scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Powers land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Powers stands and salutes the crowd.
