Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox misses with a double jab.
Maddox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Maddox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Pride counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pride.
Maddox wants to sweep here but Pride controlling him for the moment.
Pride is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Maddox isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pride stacks Maddox on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pride!

Pride's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pride is looking to control Maddox's arms but Maddox gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pride has his back to the ropes.
Maddox tries to stall but Pride uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Pride breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maddox looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Maddox counters with a series of strikes. Pride will be more careful next time no doubt.

Maddox moves into range and clinches up with Pride.
Pride is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maddox pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Pride closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
