Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Taylor!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor scores with a hook.
Bennett on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Taylor looks to land a right hand but Bennett moved out of range.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Taylor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taylor wants the takedown. Bennett is fighting it off but Taylor persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bennett's guard against the cage.
Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bennett swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bennett tries to clinch but Taylor is having none of it.

I was talking to Bennett's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bennett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bennett wants it to stay on the feet.

Taylor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bennett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bennett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground.
Taylor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bennett manages to get himself to full guard.

Bennett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bennett tries to get out of the position.

Taylor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bennett is now in Taylor's guard. A big mistake from Taylor there, giving up the dominant position!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bennett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Taylor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
