The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dejesus scoring well with a low kick there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dejesus enables Mueller to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dejesus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mueller is pushing down on Dejesus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dejesus is fighting to maintain full guard but Mueller has managed to sneak the leg through.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mueller wants to pass the guard but Dejesus is defending well.
Dejesus is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mueller scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dejesus is looking to get back to full guard here but Mueller has managed to pass to side control instead.

Mueller swings around for an armbar but Dejesus sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mueller's guard.
Mueller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dejesus's guard.

Mueller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dejesus lands with a nice combination. Mueller backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Lars Mueller has been cut.

That was a close round but I would say that Lars Mueller will probably get the nod.

Dejesus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mueller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mueller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dejesus for as long as he can get away with.

Mueller lands a couple of good shots and Dejesus has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Mueller has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Dejesus! Can he survive? No! He's out! Mueller gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
