Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jules Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wille Willedum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wille Willedum will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wille Willedum!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willedum throws a combination. Langley tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Willedum scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Langley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Langley is looking to reverse the position.

Willedum thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Langley pushes Willedum away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Willedum gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Langley really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Langley forces Willedum back against the cage and clinches.

Langley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Langley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Willedum drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Langley dives on top into guard.

Willedum throws his legs up looking for a submission but Langley uses it to pass to side control.

Willedum pushes Langley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Langley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Langley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Langley is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Willedum can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Langley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Willedum looks a forlorn figure.

Willedum closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Willedum lands in his opponent's guard.

Langley explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Langley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Willedum smiles and moves away.
Langley throws a sloppy head kick and Willedum moves out of range easily.

Willedum shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Langley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Willedum is on him like a limpet, forcing Langley back against the cage.

Langley breaks from the clinch.

Langley rushes Willedum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Langley has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Willedum clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Langley slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Langley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Langley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Willedum uses from the top position.

Willedum tightens his grip and picks Langley up, before dumping him to the ground. Langley manages to land in guard.

Langley has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Willedum off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Willedum throws a series of strikes that have Langley backpedaling.
Willedum misses with a two punch combination.

Willedum shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Willedum was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Langley bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Willedum takes a kick to the side of the head.

Langley throws a nice looking combination but Willedum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Langley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Willedum.
Langley connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Willedum momentarily.

Willedum shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Langley's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Langley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Langley has clasped his hands together around Willedum's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Langley lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Willedum down.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
