The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Small lands a right hook to the body.
Small has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lawler is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Lawler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Small fails in his attempt to clinch.
It looked like Lawler was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Small.
Small misses the body punch
and Lawler counters with a stiff right hand.
Small moves into the clinch.
Lawler looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A body shot lands from Lawler.
Small tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lawler's elbow.
Lawler misses with a punch to the body.
Small presses Lawler against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lawler is breathing heavily.

Small works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Small lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lawler or not.

Lawler is rocked!
Small lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lawler backwards.
Oh Lawler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Small pushes Lawler against the cage. Small is working some dirty boxing. Small pushes off with a quick right hook! Lawler goes down! Lawler tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Small moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
