Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andre Fili!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fili clobbers Velasquez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Velasquez is looking for a counter combo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fili lands with a straight right. Velasquez didn't see that one coming.

Fili's coach down at ReVoLuT!oN !sL@nD GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fili's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Velasquez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Fili might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

As Fili looks to move away, Velasquez throws a big counter combo but Fili just gets out of the way.

Fili throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Velasquez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fili stalks Velasquez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Velasquez's face. Velasquez staggers backwards, shaken.

Andre Fili showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Fili closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Velasquez crashing to the mat! Velasquez uses the cage to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
